Marcin Lewandowski.
Spike's has a great feature on him and his brother, Tomasz, who is his coach.
“He runs 170-180km a week during the winter months,†says Tomasz. “He gets one day off each week, usually Sunday. He never strictly prepares for the indoor season. We treat it as a break to see the effects of training. His training is a mixture of all motor aspects: he is able to clock 10.5 for 100m, 47.0 for 400m and also get under 30 minutes for 10km, all in training."

The story has a great anecdote about how he wasn't planning on running indoors this year but then he heard about a 1-year old girl who needed a ton of money for life-saving heart surgery. He ran a race for her and donated all of his of money to her. He broke 3:40 so he kept going and ended up winning European indoor gold. He gave her all his dough.

170-180km per week? This is why he will never dip into the 1:42s
-
Wow what an athlete. What country is he from?

The article certainly wasn't forthcoming with that. Probably the refugee team. -
Polski.

You guys are so obsessed with mileage.
There is no way he is running 30km a day (180/6 days = 30) and I'd put the house on him NOT being able to run 10.5
I've seen articles written by his coach that stating his yearly total of 3323km (63km per week) with the highest total in Feb 418km (104km per week). This was from a few years ago and he may have increased his mileage, but I highly doubt he has more than doubled it. If he has, he has wasted his time, as he has only improved 0.12 over 800m for all that effort.

Just out of curiosity, is Luke Matthews wasting his time and effort? His comeback, after being passed in that final straight, was unusual. Lots of aerobic fitness there.

Training reminds me of Vasala.

Mathews (only one T) has run nearly 2 seconds quicker than Lewandowski over 1500 and will probably run a lot quicker over 1500 in the future than Marcin ever will, so you are talking about a different type of athlete. That said, I can't see either of them passing Rudisha in the last 100m regardless of how much aerobic fitness they have.
Not sure what that has to do with Lewandowski's claims of 30km per day or running a 10.5 100m! -

My guess is that it is a 100m with a running start. So more like 11.5? -

Haha. He is from a country with the sense not to take in a bunch of Merkel's refugees. -
Don't feed the little trolls.

Yeah, that's almost as much as Jim Ryun was running -- when he was sixteen. -
So if he has 1 days week of he is averaging nearly 20 miles a day, Sure he is
Breaking 30 for 10km is not really that impressive for that level of runner supposedly doing that mileage -
funny, exactly what I was thinking. Vasala doubled his mileage

Here's some research I put together a few months ago regarding athletes of European origin.

180km in 6 days is 18.6 miles per day, doubt that is accurate, and if it is, stupid for an 800m runner. No way you can run that type of mileage and also run a 10.5 100m. Salazar claimed Rupp ran 11.03 in training with a running start. Maybe 10.5 with a running start, but thats not a true 100.
-
I'm not sure all the fuss, they said this is during the winter. He may just be putting in base and then lower this mileage substantially as he moves into the spring and touches more on his speed.

What kind of list is this without Amel Tuka?
Also, Harald Schmid...20.68 200, and a 1:44.83 800. Is that actually the fastest 200/800 combo of all time?
