Maybe in YOUR real world, it is. Don't assume everyone thinks like you do.
How does anyone win a race if they have never won a race before? How did they stick to a training plan, knowing full well they had zero tangible evidence to support that they could one day win at the elite level? Because of faith: faith in their plan, faith in their coach, faith in the process. That requires incredible mental strength.
It is the weak minded who tell themselves that only proven winners can win. IT is the weak minded who tell themselves that anything without physical evidence cannot be true.
Faith is for the strong.

I think you are confusing faith with belief. Such as belief in one's self.
Faith by definition is "belief without evidence." While belief contains evidence. Evidence would consist of one's training which would inspire such belief.

Why don't you do your homework on Scientology before posting.
thejeff was not writing about Scientology. Why don't you read the entire thread before commenting?
10/10 for the OP's nick.

Those priests must have got to you good, sheep boy. Does it still hurt when you sit, dunce? Hahahahaha.....
You went to the standard religious argument: I know I can't prove it's real, but you can't prove it isn't. Yes, I can. So can any other rational thinking adult.

lol nope, not Catholic. Actually, thinking more along the lines of sports psychology. I didn't even mention religion in my previous post. Sounds like a priest may have gotten to you? If so, that is awful, and I hate to hear it.
agreed!

That is YOUR definition of faith, and I think you have convinced yourself that "faith" is a dirty word. It isn't.
faith: noun, complete trust or confidence in someone or something
There is nothing there about evidence. Runners have faith in their training and coaches. Scientists have faith in the scientific method. Wives have faith in their husbands.

Not my definition of faith. It is the dictionary's. Look at the second definition.
I don't argue with emotions or make up definitions like you kids. Just open a dictionary.

Both of them routinely failed their sec-checks and were obviously withholding, so don't blame Cruise for the breakups.
What is the sec-check and it's purpose ?
I love how scientologists pretend that they know everything about every other scientologist. Ohh they failed their sec checks? Hahahaha. Ok auditor, you're either complicit in blackmail or engage in it yourself during your E-Meter sessions which are routinely used to blackmail those being recorded in auditing sessions. L. Ron Hubbard was a failure as a student, dropped out of college, holds no degrees in physics let alone a doctorate when in fact he actually failed multiple physics courses. stole credit from Alfred Loomis on LORAN when he had nothing to do with it, and many others for things he did not achieve. claimed to have won up to 27 medals in the military when in fact he was awarded none, saw no combat, was never awarded a purple heart nor was ever wounded, was stripped of every leadership position he was given. He was a serial liar, a malignant narcissist, and made up almost everything he ever said about his life. He was against psychiatry yet was an addict of alcohol and drugs his entire life and died alone.
Let's try sticking to running here instead of letting someone troll this board with BS about one of the biggest frauds in the history of mankind.
Look, Body Thetans are heavy. Like, REALLY heavy. They weigh you down, and as we all know being weighed down is a key factor in slow running.
For only $500 a session I can help you master the E-Meter and eliminate these nasty creatures from your system. You will lose, lose, lose. You'll see.
You have no idea what you are talking about? Blackmail? Really? You need to get your information from a reliable source.

There is physical and written evidence from non believers and believers that Jesus Christ died and rose from the dead!!!
They had to make a sequel? lol. Guess the first one wasn't all that convincing, huh?
Anthony:
It's because our culture does not embrace G o d. See G o d never changes but our culture is ever changing. So there will always be a clash between
G o d and man for this reason.
Religions change because men are in charge of religion. However we find many good things in religion that are supported by documented evidence. No book tells us everything about anything.
G o d gave us brains to determine what is true with any contradictions. It is difficult to follow the teachings of the bible when the world follows a very different view. Why do you think that every generation is more immoral than the previous one?
In addition many people view G o d as this old dead person. Even religious people forget and have this view. But G o d is alive!!!
