In every picture except when racing for her high school, Sydney Mclaughlin is clearly wearing New Balance team gear giving the illusion that she is sponsored by them, but obviously that is not allowed if she plans to run for Kentucky next year. How do they get around the amateurism sponsorship rules? It's possible she just really likes New Balance and just chooses to wear head to toe New Balance gear, but it doesn't appear that way because the gear doesn't look like the general stuff you buy at the store. They also asked her to run on the DMR with all New Balance athletes that set the world record. Anyone know what's going on here?
