I knew they wouldn't get the job done as soon I saw the were made in conjunction with Continental (Tires) for the rubber on the outsole. When was the last the Germans were any good at anything except soccer (Fußball)

What did I state on the "Kipsang is wearing....." thread from a couple of days ago? That these shoes would likely underperform. What foresight, what knowledge.
If Kipsang is going sub2 he has to work on his leg speed velocity.
I will predict that Kipsang only has one good marathon left at 2:03, certainly no new WRs. Often people look terrible and run well then at other times they think they in great form but end up totally sucking.
They're probably great half marathon shoes. The original Adios for the marathon. I'm looking forward to these shoes.

If it's on a track he could get lapped. Could he come back to win?
Maybe if it was a marathon on a track.
I was told these shoes were designed to take the runners below the 2 hour barrier..for me they are just dire. The foam is too slight. For me the best choice without spending hundreds of £ is the new Champion Women's Gusto Runner..If I were in Adidas, New Balance, Nike shoes
I wouldn t set a foot outside the house.i found the review here

He faded badly. Like his legs cramped up from the pounding.
Not enough boost for the final miles?
Thoughts?
Im notes sure the shoe had much to do it with his fading.
The design is actually nothing special, a low profile racing flat that has been around for decades, boost midsoles yes are new but limited on the performance enhancement. This shoe is really a poor intro as a special sub 2 unique product. Adidas can do better if it wants but truth be told, their focus is on fashion styling at the moment.

If that happened, he would go home DEVASTATED.
