Nice try f*g. 0/10
All of the advice is great for the most part.
1. Do not admit guilt or apologize.
2. Tell your coach and administration you want to involve the police.
3. Bring the old man in and tell him you will be the one filing charges for defamation of character and lying about an assault.
4. Quit the team.
Tell them you didn't do anything, and you're not apologizing, and that if they don't lift the punishment then you're parents are going to get lawyers involved.
Schools don't like it when lawyers get involved.
Please do a follow-up on how this all played out. Thanks

Nothing has been resolved yet, but there has been no mention of it from the coaches in the past week. We are stilled banned from leaving campus, but I've worked out a temporary solution. I take college classes at the college that the town is basically built around on Tuesday and Thursday mornings and have my high school classes at 1:00pm, but I have no morning classes on Monday, Wednesday or Friday. I talked to my distance coach about the situation and she agreed to let me do my easy runs solo on those mornings and do my workouts on the track with the team on Tuesdays and Thursdays. I'll keep you updated on any developments.
You're able to attend college classes through your school? What a great opportunity you have....most schools are too poor to have that.

It's funded through the university. I had to be accepted to the university as a junior in high school against far higher standards than freshman applicants to get enough funding to take actually challenging classes at a half-decent college.
You should agree to meet him and apologize, then when you shake his hand thow his old butt on the ground and laugh. heck, if you are going to get in trouble for it, might as well actually DO the crime.
Well, it's pretty much over. Our head coach called the guy to see when we could apologize in person, but he said he didn't want to talk to us. I guess he didn't want to have to stick to his story. Our head coach is now letting us run off campus as long as our distance coach is there, so every day except for Wednesday. I'll probably just keep running in the morning on Wednesdays, but other than that things are back to normal.
Great interview with Steve Cram - says Jakob has no chance of WRs this year
I’m a D2 female runner. Our coach explicitly told us not to visit LetsRun forums.
