How the mighty have fallen. Seriously, though ..I wish them luck. Bills have to be paid...
Well, If I were any type of mechanic even diesel, I'd get experience or start studying about these new electric powered cars. Proportionately, I had a vision (not the tooth fairy), in theory after the next major world war, all
oil based vehicles will be rendered obsolete. With that said, Mr. Webb be well informed to look forward to the future. You already have run below the 3:40 mile barrier, you just know it. All realities exist at the same time. We should all bow our heads and pray for the success of Alan Webb, he's going to be the next John Paul Getty.
Love 'ya babe,
XoXoXo

Yeah, when the first photo is Webb, jeez, what are you selling here? Maybe a photo of the mobile rig you'll be using or something.
Well now, to be fair, there actually is that --"a photo of the mobile rig you'll be using"! Second pic (in the background). Two commercial trucks there.
I don't know much about business, but isn't usually good if the owners are skilled at the task their employees will be performing?
Alan Webb the Triathlete?
The vast majority of large corporations are owned by people who have zero experience in the majority of the jobs performed in their company. Instead, they put key people they trust who do understand those roles into place below them.No reason a small to medium business should be any different if it is more than a half dozen employees. At that size, the owner would be better off being good with the bookkeeping and have some ability to look for new business opportunities. The owner of a fleet management business definitely doesn't need to be a mechanic as long as he had some sort of lead mechanic or manager with mechanical experience.

If you click on the link, the business is located near an airport & a major highway. I suspect these places would be there clientele.
Id imagine it's out that direction simply because it's kind of an industrial type area and land is way cheaper over there
What exactly is this business?
And why isn't he doing some online coaching of hobby joggers who want to go sub 25 in the 5K?
Hey Alan or Julia, if you happen to read this, I have a serious suggestion for you: merchandising. I would buy an "Alan Webb Trucking" trucker's hat right this minute, if it existed. T-shirts could be big, too. I'm being absolutely serious, it could make you thousands of dollars of relatively passive income per year.
Why would they believe that celebrity would translate to an experienced diesel mechanic wanting to leave a garage and steady work for a startup run by non industry people?
Non problem with their business concept but I am not sure I understand why they think his limited celebrity would be marketing helpful?
Maybe:
"Hi, I'm Alan Webb and I know from experience what it's like to break down on the road from too many miles. Trucks are like athletes you need to maintain them or they will choke and not finish the haul or race. We are here for you, and I personally will come out and look at your Diesel engine in the middle of the night on a broke down long haul and talk to you about maintenance and nutrition. I will personally say "hmmmm that doesn't sound good we better let the mechanic check it out". You are in good hands with us, no callouses on these hands mind you from labor, but if I can manage my career then I can manage some mechanics and inspire their work experience by telling them about the olympics! I'm Alan Webb and I want to service your truck!!!"
Would buy this hat
I think the potential applications excited by this posting ar certainly the definition of "blue collar runner". can't get more blue collar runner than a diesel mechanic who has heard of Alan Webb.

She doesn't even have the qualifications to work at Starbucks.
To be fair, I'm pretty sure she has the qualifications to work at starbucks. They're not looking for advanced degrees plus years of management experience.
And she clearly has the qualifications to run her own business when the only requirement is owning that business...
Now if she does well or not at it, who knows, not my problem.
I do not think the planet is round. Please correct me.
I'm laughing as I write this, because I've considered Alan a friend for nearly a decade now, and I for damn sure would buy a hat and a shirt or three. great idea.
The highway will be one of "there" clientele?

Not a bad idea. "Alan Webb Trucking" Fastest service in town. 😊💪ðŸ¼
Here's one possible logo: Alan Webb TC. Does the TC stand for "Trucking Company," "Track Club," or both?

I like it. I'd buy one. Could make a cool logo just using AWTC. Any graphic artists out want to come up with some quick mocks of a logo?
Great idea, I'd buy one.
