I wish him well but I wonder what on earth compelled them to get started with that kind of business.

Exactly! This seems oh-so random! Maybe there's something in his background that we don't know about (i.e. growing up around a family business back in Northern Virginia). But, still...

Exactly, and I'm guessing most people haven't bothered to click the link because they think it's probably BS.
Can I interview just to meet Alan?
The craigslist post is kind of confusing in what kind of company you would be working for. I don't think a diesel mechanic really cares if he/she works for an ex-Olympian or for a regular guy, as long as the pay and benefits are good.
Yeah, when the first photo is Webb, jeez, what are you selling here? Maybe a photo of the mobile rig you'll be using or something.
Are the monthly massages from Alan or Julia?
The pictures are a little hokey seeming, but honestly, what pictures do you put up for a diesel mechanic job posting? At least they're trying to be different and unique.
Look at Webb! Look at Webb!
"CEO Julia" a diverse background as coach mother and runner?
She doesn't even have the qualifications to work at Starbucks.

To be fair, I'm pretty sure she has the qualifications to work at starbucks. They're not looking for advanced degrees plus years of management experience.
And she clearly has the qualifications to run her own business when the only requirement is owning that business...
Now if she does well or not at it, who knows, not my problem.

Mobile on-site diesel mechanic service. I'm picturing them working on a lot of farm equipment

Did you spot Manzano in one of the photos? I think he's the kingpin behind it all.

Because Starbucks said he didn't have them.

If you click on the link, the business is located near an airport & a major highway. I suspect these places would be there clientele.
Webbs father is like an economics professor. I have a feeling he got good advice this was a career field he needed to venture down financially.
