anyone know why khannouchi dropped out of 8k

He was about to lose and the course goes right by the Hilton (host hotel) with 1k to go.

he had a problem with his his brought about by his ongoing problems with his foot.

He thought of a really cool band name and had to post on letrun right away.

He is not injured. He was just beaten and did not want to finish.

Pace was too slow for him, so he ditched the race and did some quality miles.

No it is not his hip. Another made up post with "word is that it is his hip." So many uninformed experts!

It is the same on-going foot problem. But that is not why he dropped out. He was actually racing very well up to the point he stopped.

yeah his foot was hurting and it caused his hip to tighten up to the point he thought he would injure himself some more.

He dropped out because he is not a real American. He will never compete with the stars and stripes plastered all over his chest.

I bet his African handlers told him to drop out so that he would not bring any glory to the USA.

i didn't claim to be an expert. i know someone who works for LaSalle Banks and deals with their race sponsorship. their understanding was that KK dropped out because his hip was bothering him and he passed that along to me. when i say "word was.." it clearly means that i was passing along second-hand information and should be treated as such.

and, yes, he was racing well. it doesn't necessarily follow, however, that he wasn't hurting. i seem to recall BK dropping out of the Trials last year when he was running with the leaders. numerous other examples could be cited.

but it's pretty stupid for us to be bantering over what exactly is wrong with KK, why he dropped out, and who has "expert" and "informed" information. as i mentioned above, he rarely goes on the record regarding what is bothering him and i doubt this situation will be any different.

I have a friend who has a friend who normally lives in the Northwest Suburbs. He is living with a friend of his who lives on Michigan Avenue. People tell me she is really hot! They got up too late on Sunday morning so they missed the race. Otherwise, the friend of my friend and his friend might know what heppened.

At last we have some clarity on this issue.
