I understand your overall point, HOWEVER he sugar coated the sh!t out of the pandemic and that had drastic consequences.
He sugarcoated the sh!t out of his relationship with NK. He sugar coated the sh!t out of his wall. He sugar coated the sh!t out of his imaginary healthcare plan.
I could go on and on but you get the idea. He’s actually a bigger bullsh!tter than other politicians and that’s some going.
Anyway, Don Jr now has COVID-19.
You and I are talking about two different things.
Biden recently said Trump was "tarnishing his legacy" by refusing to concede. He said that after saying "how can I say it in a tactful way?" I don't know what was the original expression that came to his mind, but he definitely did not want other people to hear what he really thought about Trump. That's sugarcoating.
Trump said exactly what he wanted to say about the wall, the health care, North Korea and coronavirus. What he does is bullsh!t, not sugarcoating.
Trump is not even a "liar" in a traditional sense. Paul Ryan and Bill Clinton are calculating liars. They know exactly what the truth is, and they intentionally mislead people to benefit them. Trump does not even care what the truth is. He just says whatever he wants to say whether it is true or not.
And that's the definition of "honesty" for Trumpers. They don't care whether Trump's words are consistent with the external reality. All they care is whether he is saying what he wants to say. I will take it even one step further. Whether Trump is really saying what he wants to say is irrelevant. What's really important is that Trumpers believe he always says what he wants to say.
