Not sure where you've been. He's worn the OTC singlet in every race (aside from championships) he ran in 2016, although he didn't appear as often as normal in the diamond league.

Now that I think about it, I do recall him racing at the Prefontaine Classic. Can't remember if he was wearing the OTC kit in that competition.

What other races - if any - did he run this year?

Better yet race Johnny Gray's team. With Solomon and Brazier opening up, you could win closing with Vessey and Gray himself.

Not doubting your knowledge that Amos is on OTC, but where was this reported?

Please realize that everyone on that list ran like ass last year. One good race among the lot of them, and it just happened to be the one that got Jock to Rio.

Beasts have been mediocre, but at least they're consistently mediocre. When the OTC runs it's the occasional flash in the pan or the usual total implosion. See Mac Fleet's season if you need an example. They need to stop acting like they're still in college, get out of Taylor's, and hit the track.

All that being said, I'd pick NJNY for the win. Those guys are gamers.

Amos wears an OTC jersey still but Rowland does not coach him, nor does he live in Eugene anymore. So everyone is right.

Not true. Matt Scherer, the pacer guy bombed. Loxsom, Wieczorek & Symmonds ran very well.Symmonds got the baton in the back and ran a 1:48 based (on what I just looked up), jogged in the last 30 meters. He also made the world indoor team a few weeks later.The Beasts would have won if the pacer guy didn't run a 1:53

The joisey boyz team would have to be a team of milers as Murray, Gagnon and Rutt are no longer running from what I've heard.

But Alexander, Merber and Gregorek run 3:34, 3:34 and 3:36. To run be able to run a 3:52/3:53 mile, you have to be able to go minimum 1:47, probably more like 1:46. Then they have a bunch of other 3:36/3:37 guys to choose from for the 4th leg. They would def be competitive.

Symmonds would sewer his team with a 1:53

If you put the meet at the beginning/middle of the season when it means nothing the Beasts would potentially win the race. If you put it at the end of the year it wouldn't even be close. They're notorious for being on a downhill slide at the end of the year.

It would be cool to see this pan out. It would also be cool to see the NJNY bunch o' milers run competitive 800's head-to-head against solid 800 guys.

We know Gregorek and Merber can run 1:47 to 1:48 indoors but Alexander is an unknown. My guess is that he has wheels tho. He out kicked Blankenship and Torrence at that Eugene meet when they all ran 3:34 and then almost nailed Centro and Jenkins at NYC. I think if he wouldn't have moved so soon he'd have beaten them both. I say he's the fastest 800 of the Jersey bunch and that the boys from Jersey could give those other teams a go.

Wonder if they took in any other half-milers after all their 800 guys retired after last season?
