So back in 2013, adidas came out with their boost midsole which was a game changer in running technologies. Now Saucony is trying to basically copy the tech with a weak version that tricks people into thinking they are an adidas shoe. What are your takes? Personally, I think adi is the best, look at their WR count!

I have the boost in a couple of pairs, and it's alright, NBs fresh foam are more impressive. Adidas do take a pounding. I have a pair of Mirages 3 as well (yet to run in) and they're kind of hard, but their the right weight. You might have to experiment with 3 or 4 shoes.
How exactly is Saucony tricking people? It's their version of enhanced and responsive cushioning. That's all it is at the end of the day. Hoka has theirs, NB has theirs, Brooks has theirs and so on and so on.

Are you talking about Everrun? It's not an attempt at copying Boost. It's their upgraded midsole. Literally every shoe company has one or more. Lunar, air zoom, boost, Everrun, DNA BioMoGo wtf ever, fresh foam, m-strike, etc.
If you think Adidas is objectively superior, based on that one shoe (as if WR attempts hinge on the shoe. Good god, they clearly just sponsor the right Africans) you're a moron.

I have used 3 types of adidas boost shoes - energy, boston and tempo. Whille they do feel comfortable they seem to really put a huge strain on my calves to the extent that I cannot use them as a daily training shoe. I think that it may be due to the softness of the boost material. Anyone else noticed this?
Adidas shoes always cut in too narrow on the ball on my foot, constant blisters. Switched to Brooks, I'm now a Launch 2 evangelist.

Better question:
Did Adidas completely screw up changing the Supernova Glide to the Supernova? The Supernova seems to have a huge heel, too much boost, and clunky feel. Seems like they lost the typical running shoe feel.

I haven't had a chance to try them yet, but these are my main concerns just from looking at them. Very interested to try them on to see though.
Adidas didn't invent TPU foam. They were innovative in that they were the first to put it in a midsole, but the tech is out there for anyone to use. Saucony's version is not "weak" (it's the same as Adidas's), and their marketing is not deceptive.
Personally, I strongly prefer Saucony. Adidas is too narrow for me, and the three stripes are particularly uncomfortable.
About 12-13 years ago I bought a pair Adidas Taper RCs. And they were great I wore them and they did tear in the end, but they were very basic and that is what makes a shoe great. Adidas then replaced them with the Supernova Competition which were good but too heavy for a heavier-flat/lighter trainer and adidas went down the wrong path, but I think they are moving away from this again. It is when great shoes get discontinued that is the bane of my running.
