The satellite package I have means I almost never really had to worry about missing most televised athletics and road running meets and events. But this year it seems they're getting priced out and haven't been able to bring us quite a few marathons and cross country races. Now I have to make like you yanks and search for a stream. Anyone, please?

their website is 503'd right now. What channel is it televised on?
-
there's no live thread and it is started? Should this be the live thread?

Well, this is boring.
-
yep. terrible coverage this year. Is Makau not a big name anymore?
-
Yemane Tsegay 2:08:47
Patrick Makau 2nd in 2:08:56
Yuki Kawauchi 3rd in 2:09:10 -
Certain Kenyan runners went south in their performances once Kenyan drug use came to light.

Whoa....Yuki!!!!! Thought the dude was done. -
Official website seems to be crashed and I cannot find results elsewhere. WHY DOES OUR SPORT SUCK WHEN IT COMES TO STREAMS AND RESULTS? (I still cannot find a M1500mF video from Rio. Please don't send me the NBC one....I can't view it in my country.)

Japan Running News had some twitter coverage, but very few actual splits. Ukrainian was 6th in 2:10:52, Canadian Coolsaet 7th in 2:10:55...

Wow! Thanks. Wasn't expecting 2:10 from Reid either, based on his pre-race comments, but maybe this was classic downplaying.
-
I don't think Reid plays those games. He is a straight shooter. I think he had nothing to lose and the relaxed approach allowed him to go for it. I hope he can get that record.

Peter Buniak (aka Jerome Drayton) is not a Canadian.
-
Wow - please astound us with this evidence of his non-Canadianness (sounds like a word that someone of your calibre would use/make up) that only you have had access to until this shining moment on letsrun.com.

Yet another awesome run by Kawauchi. Most likely the first clean finisher as well. Surprised that this guy does not get more love on these boards given that he works full time and everything. -

He should have the record for Germany. If you're born there then that's where your records stay. Barely white? I thought he was Ukrainian? Did his mom have a one night stand in the Congo or something? -

In which country are you? The televison channel that broadcasted the Olympics probably has the video on their site.
It's very strange, the women's 1500 is on the Olympics' official Youtube channel, but the men's isn't. -

I can't find the women's 5000m anywhere either.
