Sorry, but those guys DO suck compared to 26:22, 2:04 and 12:33, and the American's ARE evolving...the evolution just gets lost among the hyper-mutation of the East African REVOLUTION of today. As far as taking your kids to track practice...it's your retirement plan: I'm putting a golf club in my kid's hand.

Good Post...but back then there was the TAC in the fall & then you had to come back and run the National trials. The TAC meet used to be open to anyone...what a great run for a miler -- did you see the company he kept? Thus Steve never went out for the team in Jan-Feb-March ..whenvever they hold the trials. I'm not going to put him on the Broe List because he didn't tease....
If you run across links that depict who ran the trials and who ran the Worlds then I'll be happy to call them out as well.
I'll leave your comparing Scott to Fam & Meyers alone in respect to your excellent post. Thanks for the link.
EVOLUTION...lol,,,....in 30yrs.
with no selective pressure either, remarkable.
i suggest you publish.

Someone has to hold the athletes accountable for letting down the team and their country. I like your idea.....maybe..Weak Sister Society.

The Coach who cares wrote:Exactly you nitwit. NATIONAL cross country. Broe competed in NATIONAL cross country just like a number of other Americans did. Simply because they've chosen not to run in one meet doesn't mean they are not competing in XC.

The meet they choose to skip -- the World XC Championships. Where the greatest gather to represent their country and participate in the toughest race in the world says a lot about their patriotism and what's between their legs. Your post tells me what's missing between your ears there Barney.
How does it say anything about their patriotism nitwit?

Coach Barney, thanks for repeating what Californian posted earlier...keep those original thoughts coming.
Then why did you ask what Myers was doing a second time clown?

I don't think any of them ran World XC. Certainly not often if they did.
