Why don't you just make another forum/topic category that has all this non running stuff. I don't get why your main message board on a website called 'Letsrun' has nothing to do with running.

When you get together with your runner friends, do you only talk about running?
Actually, that is not an excellent question. Pro-life lawmakers have sought to make the killing of a pregnant woman into a double murder in order to undergird the argument against abortion.

I am very much pro-choice... but I concede that you ask an excellent question here.
"Liberals have no morals," yet "liberals always sympathize with the woman/mother."
In other words, they (those living in your imagination) have a value system that privileges the downtrodden, women, people of color, etc. The idea that they don't privilege blue collar workers, however, is ludicrous. What do you think their free college and subsidized health care programs are supposed to support?

The liberal scoring system is like
Man? -5
Woman? +5
Trans? +10
White? -7
Black or Hispanic? +5
Asian or Indian? +0 (ignore successful non-White groups)
Pursuing or holding educational degrees? +3
Blue collar job? -2
So this baby boy would have eventually been a -14 in the eyes of a liberal, which is as bad as it gets for them. This is why Liberals had ZERO problems with this poor baby being murdered.
man -5 (his name was George)
white -7 (mom's name was Courtney)
blue collar -2 (with a mom who carelessly gets drunk & passes out at a party & makes terrible choices, you know this poor child would grow up in poor & limited circumstances)
Rojo did nothing wrong, he's asking why the Turner story got the most public outrage/attention while the public seems to not care about this story of a baby dying. Just because something is morally or ethically worse doesn't necessarily correlate with the amount of attention it receives. If a deadbeat murders a deadbeat, the public is not going to bother giving the story any attention. If a successful Ivy league scholar murders a female student, there will be a mass of attention. Yet the result of both are the same, a murder. The perp is an interesting person and so is the victim=more attention. It's how the media manipulates the public into making their money. If the infant was drowned by the father, the story would definitely be getting a lot more attention...funny how things work.
She tries to justify the killing by saying business/life was too tough for her. Did she even think about ADOPTION!!! She probably made the decision too quickly out of desperation and wasn't thinking straight. She is a smart woman, she made it to a Canadian university after all. That's a lot harder than being given a free ride in the US because of your athletic ability. Just a really dumb decision. Poor victim excuse of being raped to get pregnant, probably a huge lie in order to sound like a victim. Regardless, she messed up on various levels of this occurring... #1 don't be such a slut #2 abortion is an option in Canada #3 adoption if you can't care for child #4 live through hard times like many do and suck it up
Article says she didn't know she was pregnant "until very late in the pregnancy."
How dumb can you be? Did she not notice all the skipped periods? The nausea, swelling, back pain, breast tenderness, appetite changes, and her abdomen expanding with a lump the size of a watermelon?

That's Rojo's intent with this thread. 8/10, rojo.
As a Canadian, people here don't get 'outraged' publicly the way Americans do. Canadians may be offended privately but value not being seen as bat shit crazy. Seems like Americans are more than happy to lose their minds in public.
Not saying that people shouldn't be outraged about this, but Brock Turner levels of outrage are nearly impossible in Canada (unless Vancouver loses the Stanley cup).
This is pretty sickening. A pregnant woman needs to be informed of what resources are available if she doesn't want her baby, like where to take it for adoption. I'd consider what this woman did first degree murder and worth a life sentence. Liberal btw, I don't get why so many people think liberals don't value justice.
It must be easy being a woman. Kill a baby and move on with your life as if nothing ever happened.
I agree this, and even more so permitting it, is disgusting. You can't kill someone because they are inconvenient to you. Women have choice when they decide to make the baby in the first place. That is why rape is such a terrible crime, and why rapists need their weiners chopped off and force-fed back to them on a roll, sauerkraut ketchup and mustard optional. On my obstetrics/gynecology and paediatrics rotations I saw lots of premature babies. I couldn't imagine taking a vacuum to them. But for some reason "progressive" liberals include doing so in their "human rights" agenda among other disgusting things. My definition of "progressive" and "human rights" will always put life first. No unjust wars. No abortions.
Thank you for throwing chum in the water, but I don't do outrage anymore. Waste of time.
Unless you know something no one else does, the only thing that was 'recovered' was a group message in which someone (I don't even know if they proved it was Turner) sent a picture (picture was never recovered) and that someone in the group replied 'who's tit is that'BTW, I'd hardly call the response 'blowing up'. You must be on the steady diet of the 'news' sites that constantly blows things out of proportion too if that's how you see it.
Why this thread? Lol

Just a very late term abortion
That all depends on what exam the mother had to take, it may have been mid-terms....
Rojo-
Accepting the young woman's story as true, a college sophomore was raped at a party and hid the resulting pregnancy until after she gave birth by herself and drowned the newborn.
Should she have pursued a "timely" abortion or adoption? Of course. Is drowning an innocent baby depraved and shocking?Obviously.
With that said, any decent defense lawyer could probably get her off on temporary insanity given the circumstances. What lesson is sending the girl to prison going to teach her or any one else?
"Don't get raped while you are ovaluating and if you do, don't go batshit crazy as a result of the most humiliating thing that can happen to a human."
The outrage over the stanford date rape case came from the perceived kidglove treatment of an affluent white male as opposed to a typical "criminal class" offender.
In this case, there is no outrage over the judge's ruling because the whole scenario is tragic from beginning to end and extra jail time would not provide a sense of justice or fairness to anybody.
