who's this cat "gabe"? sounds to me he's livin' the f***in' dream. but no shit. who is he? i'm a trail runner and hippie ultra guy so if he's a track guy, that's probably why i don't know him. but he sounds cool. is he a real person or is this some kinda inside track geek joke?
Why is it that people get so pissed off and threatened when someone chooses to live a life that is unlike the cookie-cutter life we all feel pressured to live. It is my understanding that he has an exclusive contract with Letsrun.com. For every thread that is started about him, and then every post or view on that thread, Letsrun pays him a percentage of their daily revenue. This is really some shrude business savy on both sides, Letsrun and Jennings, as there seems to be an endless morbid curiosity with the surreal life of Gabe Jennings.
I think Gabe Jennings, like Paul McCartney, died tragically and young. The industry came up with an inferior copy to keep the public sated and the coffers jingling.

Gabe rents a room in a little room above a mexican restaurant, lives off of rice and refried beans and food leftovers donated by the Sanchez family who owns the restaurant. He has decided to keep his soul and not be a slave to money nor a shoe company. Most people throw about about 30K per year on housing and car payments and botox treatments, while Gabe is able to live comfortably and happily without risking his soul.

Even better....weak sister that he really is....didn't have the fortitude to graduate from one of the top universities in the nation while on full scholarship.
