Another 5 miles:

Legs are toast.
At 44 beers. I'm trying to have one every ~45 minutes, and feel like I'm constantly drinking, but then look at my grid of empties and I'm always disappointed, expecting to have had 10-12 when I've had 3-4.
Gonna go have a beer while making chicken and coffee. Then I'll have more beer.
keep it up!dont give up!
A real man can drink 100 beers in a single night.
Back off on the running, step up on the drinking. Nibble on pretzels or salty snacks to encourage consumption.

I encourage you to try this. I am constantly hungry, yet also have the feeling of there being no room in my stomach. I am doing my best to channel Wade Boggs but I know if I have too many beers too quickly I will become sick/hungover and not be able to continue.

Got my watch set for 45-minute intervals, a beer goes down every time it beeps. Triscuits are my salty snack of choice. I'm not sure if I need backing off on the running front; I sweat some beer out each time I go so I don't think it's hindering the consumption. The realization on my last run that I need to do six more 5-milers today was sobering. So I'm trying to quell that soberity with more and more and more beers.
#48 is done. These things go so slowly. Can't believe I'm not even halfway on that front.
A tip of the cap to you for this attempt. That said, I think you're realizing that you weren't ready for the beer part of this challenge...that's what you should work on if you ever decide to do this again.
Thanks for posting - it's been fun to read.
What are the beer/miles/hours totals presently? Good luck.
Wasn't there a URochester runner who did this same challenge and documented it on the LR boards back in '07? THAT was a fun read. I think he completed it if I'm not mistaken.

Yup, I've got that in my bookmarks:

I'm finally past the halfway point on beers--#51 going down now. A friend is meeting me for a run in 45 minutes; I got to 70 miles a couple hours ago so this will be over that. And I started at 5:05 PST Wednesday so I'm coming up on 62 hours in. Very nearly already at 79:44, but still many more moons than months until 100 hours.
Getting drunkish now, so my current beer and the one after it will hopefully be taken care of by the 7:30am run.
My wife and I are both monitoring this thread and cheering you on OP. Keep pushing. 50 beers in the remaining 20 hours is no joke...

That was a bicentennial (100 beers, 100 miles, 1 week). What this fella is going for is a tricentennial, which is doing it in 100 hours. It was also done in 2012, that's the time he set out to beat:
http://www.letsrun.com/forum/flat_read.php?thread=4477144For runners its much more of a drinking challenge. Your focus always needs to be on drinking 100 beers. Running is just what you throw in from time to time

Watching someone do something that is not healthy is fun. You are sick and need to get a life.
I bet it smells real good after you go to the bathroom.
Glad to see we got some more negativity! I shall soldier on.
Did 6mi with a friend just now, am somehow only at 52 beers. #53 going down now. 45' timer back on.

So you're worried he might get injured? Do you think he should stop running and just focus on drinking? Stay healthy?
Don't worry about the haters, man. Lots of people rooting you on including myself. Keep trudging along.
