Today at 5:05pm PST, I started what will ultimately be a world record performance for running 100 miles and drinking 100 beers...or maybe a short-sighted, short-lived bust based on hubris, stupidity, and weakness.
Either way, I'll try to keep LetsRun updated as to how it's going.
So far I've gone on one 16-mile run (at over 8-minute pace) and consumed four beers. Both of these hurt just a little, which is way more than I should be feeling them. In my defense, it was cold dark and rainy on my run, and I started feeling hungry with about three miles to go, which made me feel much more of the run AND the beers than I'd've liked.
Tonight I run and drink alone, but tomorrow and beyond I should have some company providing motivation, safety, and maybe even some posts on Let Us Run Dot Com once I get too sloppy to understand how a keyboard works.
More coming soon...
100 miles, 100 beers...possible World Record, probable Huge Embarrassing Failure

Get in an easy 2-3 shake out before bed. Grab a beer after, shower and get back at it in the morning!
Best of luck. What's the plan for eating? You'll need the calories but the stomach space is key here.
And what's the rules on throwing up? If you guzzle 4-5 beers right before a run but hurl them up do those count? What's the ground rules here? -
This has already been done and chronicled by a poster here and on dyestat who used the username lasseviren. Find a new stupid human trick.

A little more info.
The world record is 79:44:26, by Fast Guy, as recorded here: http://www.letsrun.com/forum/flat_read.php?board=1&thread=4477144&id=4483717#4483717
My A goal is 78 hours. 100 hours would be a "fun run". Any completion is a success. Non-completion is failure.
I'm drinking Coors Banquet. Here's a picture of it at the store: http://imgur.com/a/qLC2X
They said there's 4 commemorative cans but all of the 3 cases I've opened have had the same cans in em.
There are only 96 beers there; the other 4 will be random cans/bottles that I happen to have in my fridge. A tiny bit of variety, every 25th beer.
Here is the Strava of my first run: https://www.strava.com/activities/783975833
I'll try to provide a link to each run I do.
If anyone wants to run/drink with me, I, like Robert Young before me, invite you to show up. Email me at the address provided on my username. I'm in Portland, OR.
Speaking of usernames, the name I chose for this is very similar to a name I've used before, LetsRace.com. Here are links to the two times I used it:

At the first race of those I came out ahead, by a little; at the second, I came in second out of three. I therefore consider myself The Average LetsRunner.
And now you kinda know me.

My eating plan is to get nutrients. Minimal food, obviously--one beer is 147 calories, so 100 in 78 hours is 4523 calories per day--but I generally eat a lot, so I should have room for a few key small meals to get some protein and maybe a few vegetables.
The throwing-up rule is currently "don't throw up". If I do, I guess the plan would be to replace all that was lost. Hopefully I don't have to make any judgment calls on that.

How long did un:lasseviren take to complete the bicentennial? "Fast Guy" took 79:44:26. I hope to beat that.
Anyone can run a mile. The challenge is to run it under 7 minutes, or under 4 minutes, or under 3 minutes 43.16 seconds.
Anyone can run 100 miles and drink 100 beers. The challenge is to do it is under a week, or under 100 hours, or under 79 hours 44 minutes 26 seconds. -
Ah, so you're the random "let's race" guy, I liked those threads.
Good luck with your triple century attempt. I'm sure you'll get some more responses in the morning. -
That's only 96 beers.

The mornings are always the worst. You can really only sleep a few hours each night during this. You just have to get up and put a couple beers down, then you're good to go again -
Yes, the morning was hard. But after a bit of procrastinating, I took down a beer and got out for a run.

Planned on 11, but just before my watch said 5.5 I got to one of my favorite trails, and I couldn't resist tacking on an extra (muddy) mile in the middle of the run.
Total now is 28 miles, 10 beers. The running is on schedule, but the beers are quite behind. And they've already started tasting like death. This is, predictably, going to be difficult. -

You got this dog!!! Keep pushing. Do whatever it takes. Watch inspirational movie clips. Where are you located? -
You have to do 30 beers a day. Dont worry about the miles as you'll be able to make those up in a hurry. Like you should be able to do 50 miles in a day (several runs) if you really had to but you cant drink 50 in a day.
Pace your beers and just sprinkle in the runs once you find yourself getting a little too drunk. You should only be really drunk once, and that's in the final couple hours -
Poor the beers into a glass. What's the beer & mileage count?
-
What part of Portland?

Run #2 on the day, a wet 10.5. Had a beer as I was getting ready to leave, then right before I decide to have another. Was a bit drunk most of the run.

Got a last-second Thanksgiving invite a few hours ago and turned it down because I HAVE WORK TO DO DAMMIT, but then found myself passing by his place on my run so I stopped and tried to buzz up. No response so I headed home, I am starving, I've gotten a chicken breast in the oven now and you'll never guess what drink I am pairing it with.

Pouring might happen later but I'm not sure how much it will help. I do have a few maßen and one of those holds 3 beers.
I am at 38 miles and 18 beers, 21 hours in. At the very least, I'm sticking to that old adage, "Front-load the miles, back-load the beers." -

Wow, you're close by. I may be able to help you out with beers or miles tomorrow afternoon and Saturday. I'll let you know -
Pouring helps it go down easier / faster.
We need beer updates. Your thread is drying.
One beer, one mile every hour on the hour is more entertaining. -
This is exciting.
