As a mother this scares me.
I have a son in college and am glad this didn't happen to his team , but at the same time it is inspiring to see guys stand up and protect their own like this! Be safe boys.

If that guy had a gun, we would have a dead X-country team. It is obvious the X-country had no clue on what to do other than run. You don't catch up to the guy and let him put his hand all over his pockets and empty things out because he could easily be carrying a gun. They are completely clueless on street fighting.

I happen to know first hand that one of the guys involved is as tough as nails!
I've seen him step in and defend his teammates in high school ( diplomatic until the other guy got unreasonable and he had to step and fight and WOW , I couldn't believe what I saw ) this stick figure took on 2 guys twice his size and he was the only one standing , again this was in defense of a teammate being bullied !
So unless you know don't speculate !
We weren't there I'm sure more happened than we know .
Lets be glad there are still guys willing to step up and to what is right , even if there is danger involved !

BS. High school fights are not street fights. In street fights, you stab, crack knees with iron bars, and shoot your opponent. They have no real world experience. This X-country team is as dumb as a pile of rocks.

Even with a knife the guy could have stabbed one of them.
Don't chase or argue with armed thieves. Just isn't worth it. Life is precious.
Man steals Arizona Wildcats bag, then gets chased down by 1:46 800m guy and teammates. The thief managed to make it 3/4 mile before giving up.
