So this local runner in my area has been running pretty well lately and the other day I jokingly say to him "What are you on, man?" To my surprise he comes back and tells me he's been taking this stuff called cardarine. I looked it up and it seems more for bodybuilders than distance runners. Is this dude getting any benefit from this or is it in his head? Also, anyone know if this stuff is banned?
Man, if something like that is effective and only $80 a month, that's discouraging because I could see how there would be cheating at a local/regional age-grouper type level. I always assumed anything effective would also be expensive and therefore cost-prohibitive for most people, but maybe I'm naive.

Mate Cardarine/SARMs are on wada's prohibited list.

Not technically a sarm, but typically passed off as such. Was HUGE in 2008 (think Beijing), and currently on the banned list. Glow window is about 40 days.

Since people are dieing from Fentanyl and Carfentanil, and hobby joggers are taking SARMS , you have to acknowledge that human beings will put any kind of chemical in their body.
I'm actually using cardarine now for bodybuilding and am finishing a bottle from primeval labs which lasted 6 weeks. I took 20mg pre-workout it's supposed to help with endurance but I personally am using it for fat loss. Haven't found it particularly effective. It is a PPAR modulator and was banned last year but you can still find it on some websites and ebay. It was banned because it was linked to cancer!
I've used some sarms (mk-677, ostarine, LGD, and a blend). Used ostarine following a 6 month cycle at 30mg/day and kept gains. Would recommend.

Exactly, that is what I posted. If these SARMs are half as effective as people have claimed even the one's in development will be banned and retrospectively tested for.
I bought this about 3 weeks ago and have lowered my 5k time by 2 mins. 17:10 before to now 15:12.

I know it's used in cycling a lot. A few bicyclist have been busted for using it.
