I don't know why all of you beta boys keep getting attacked by small birds.
I've never been attacked. They must recognize me as an apex predator far higher up on the food chain than them and stay cautiously far away.

The Owl was not small, big enough to knock me forward almost to the ground.
I take it as a good sign, you're edible.
Or maybe it took your dandruff for seeds.

I know, right?
Anyway, maybe you could help me out. I also got attacked by a bird. After beating the shit out of it I saw it go after easier prey. I was lucky enough to get a pic while it was attacking a more easily subdued victim but I'm still not sure what kind of bird it was.
Maybe one of you birdie boys (or Mr. Mail) could help me identify it.

Well since you live in a basement you are unlikely to be attacked. Possibly a burrowing owl might threaten you.

Owls don't see well in dim light? Lotta nocturnal creatures struggle with that I guess.
Total BS story. Eagles eat fish not rodents. The only other reason an eagle would go after you would be if you threatened chicks in the nest and by now all eaglets have fledged and are out flying around .
He was sent by his handler, Glenn Beck, to repatriot you after not standing at attention during the anthem prior to a recent race.

Well, it's true that bald eagles are primarily fish eaters. But they do prey on small mammals from time to time, as well as (more frequently) other birds. And golden eagles primarily prey on mammals.
But you're first sentence is completely correct.
Now if this story was about an Aussie magpie, it just might (pardon the pun) have wings.

Bald Eagles eat other things and Golden Eagles are not known for their fishing prowess.
Eagles likely still fend for their chicks even after they are flying.

Of course it is a total BS story.
BUT
Your nonsense about Eagles eating fish, not rodents is ignorant BS to the nth degree.

Bald eagles also eat roadkill. Perhaps OP was running so slow the eagle thought he was dead.
This is a 1/10.
I have no idea why anyone could think this would be a classic. The pace together with the pony tail and an eagle? Way too much; the only thing missing was breaking your phone when you fell onto your fanny pack.
a great thread, though. As a beach-runner growing up in Florida, I sometimes got attacked by flocks of nesting terns when I ran too close to the edge of their rookery. They would hover directly overhead, tuck their wings, and dive straight down at your skull. I looked like an idiot ducking my head and waving my arms and staggering around in response.

Not much. Once they fledge, they're pretty quickly on their own.
