Great lineup this Thursday in Lausanne: Kiprop, Centro, Kiplagat, Souleiman, Lewandowski, and I have been told a possibility of Makhloufi. Pacemaker has been asked to go through 600m in 1:15.

1:15 at 600m? That sounds crazy! World record pace would be around 1:19 if they ran even pace. To put it another way, 1:15 plus a 400 in 56 would get the record.
If the rabbit actually hits 1:15 he will be all by himself... 1:17-1:18 is much more sensible right after the Olympics
Murphy should be in this.
I feel like they'd be hard-pressed to even find someone both in shape and willing enough to rabbit a 600 in 1:15...

That's obviously wrong, as that would mean an 800m WR en route lol.
Lol. Who have they hired to pace? Bosse? DBang? How many can realistically run a 1:15?
Prepare for Makh Daddy domination.

he knows he has to back out of the spotlight right now. too many fast times now will lead to more tests.

1:43 won't be a WR unless Caster's there.
Apologies. I was in a hurry to a meeting, and I misread the text. You are correct that 1:18 is the requested pace.
That's sound good. 1.18 is 2.10 even pace so quite fast (it would mean 51/52 at 400). I wonder how many guys will go after it, maybe Kiprop after a disappointing olympic? No 800 pure athletes in the field, as expectable. Should count as a DL 1500, I think.
Nice short video of Centro arriving and hanging out in Geneva prior to the meet on Thursday. Seems to be having fun.

Wyde van nieker should be in this race
Ngeny's splits:
400: 49.6
600: 1:16.5
800: 1:44.6
1000: 2:11.96
Coes's splits:
400: 51.15
1:17.8
1:44.5
2:12.18
I think Kiprop and Makhloufi have the best chance of winning, Souleiman has an outside chance.
You have to remember that Murphy had the NCAA season to deal with. He should probably hang it up for the year and come back strong for Worlds next year.

Maybe 1:35 considering how the current crop likes to run the 1500.
They need to make them jog 500m at recovery pace coming up to the start line for a real race.

Wow! Never seen those splits before- crazy how different they are!
I think Makhloufi would win given how he took silver in both 800 and 1500 - best of both worlds, plus he ran that crazy 2:13 last summer.
