After seeing the 9:35 Missouri put up, I remembered a thread on here about which programs truly develop runners. I personally know how hard a couple of Missouri's guys worked to get where they are, and thought I'd put them up as an example for the kids.
Ryan Hampton struggled his first year, physically started catching on his second year, and ran 4:03.30 last year. I'd be interested to know his split from ND.
Neville Miller almost decided he didn't want to run his freshman year, but graduallr improved to the point that he ran 1:48.39 a day after he ran on the DMR up at ND. Oh yeah, he was a 1:56 800 guy in high school.
These guys come at the middle distances from different training angles, but they are both in-staters who worked hard and busted out. I just wanted to point them out on here, because they're both great examples. Sometimes I wonder how many Nevilles there are walking around out there who gave up!
