I am creating this thread partially because of all the "which shoe is lighter" type threads, but also falls in conjunction with the "how much fatter can americans get" thread.
I think that it is ironic that people put so much emphasis on the weight of trainers and racers (spikes and flats). Really, people will go out and buy the lightest shoe that they can find for performance purposes, but yet they eat candy/chips/etc. and drink softdrink/beer which adds to their body weight. It's just a paradox that I believe to be ridiculous.
Sorry, I just believe that we should try to cut ounces around the waistline before we try to cut ounces off the shoes we race in.
Anyone else agree?
