And then the women's steeple final. Can Coburn medal? If she doensn't, it's not just possible but probably probable that the US women will get shut out from the mid-d and distance medals at the 2016 Olympics.

Veronica Campbell-Brown, a veteran, completely runs out of her lane and finishes the last 100m in the incorrect lane.
Wtf. -

On behalf of LetsRun.com, let me apologize. I'm sorry that we didn't get the Official day 4 thread up when the 200 prelims started.
It happened because our staff stayed up until 3:30 am writing recaps of the races for you - that we give to you free of charge. I'll notify everyone from now on to stop the extensive onsite coverage.
FYI, you are allowed to start threads yourself.
In the 200, the drama only occurred after I started this thread. VCB is out of the 200!! -
Did you see Campbell-Brown slide from lane 6 to 7? That may have cost her the 0.03 she needed.

She's out. Getting old sucks. -
Emma Coburn out there looking like an idiot, as usual. Easily one of my least favorite runners.

She'd be out even if her time was fast enough. -
anyone know why Jager wears half-tights in the heats, yet wears shorts in the final? Is there some sort of recovery benefit with half tights?

Easy there chompy. You guys are lucky people come here so you can sling adspace and affiliate marketing. -
Is there a stream that doesn't cut to the triple jump and shows just the track?

She was weird in the BBC postrace interview. Didn't seem to know what was going on... -
Here's an idea, rojo. Instead of getting all pissy, why not start the thread after you finish your late night "recap"?

They didn't teach me that in the Ivy League. Book smarts only, not practical smarts or spelling.
STeeple first heat is going very slow. It's a hot day.
Heat 1
D’Hoedt had 5 meters on the pack in 2:48.22 as Hillary Bor was in 5th. Just before 2k, Uganda’s Benjamin Kiplagat has injected some pace (5:42.82) with Bor in third.
Remember, it's just top 3 and next 6 and this heat is slow as hell. -

Bor FTW. USA! USA!

Everybody jogged it in. No time qualifiers from this slow heat.
