There is a new well 5 years or so amphetamine based drug. Designer drug. Mix of modafinil and other CNS stimulant types. WHich is why most of the sprinters have slimmed down other the last few years. Look at Gatlin. Brommel, Meritt, Bolt. Basically skinny guys running fast. A little of muscle, but not like before. Probably since 06-07 time frame. Probably developed in Jamaica. BTW see April 1996 or 1997 SI cover and article that mentions Jamaica as a designer drug place.
The track and field fans on this board would love to see that obviously. So they could call him a doper.

Gatlin is not basically skinny nor is Bolt.

Neither is Merritt, but Van Niekerk though...

Merritt has obiviously lost a little weight, so has Gatling. Bolt in general is thin. All in comparison to the 80s. and 90s somewhat HGH was really on the scene. Christie, Burrell, Bolt is the new Lewis, Reynolds, Steve Lewis, but you also have the HGH crew from the late 80s/90s MJ, Danny Evertt,Mike Marsh, 88 92. So Merritt and Gatlin have slimmed down while aging and getting faster and the new guys are thin. That's my point. They all take some testosterone/steroids for strength and some size while running. Which alone is so hard to do. Gain weight 10-15lbs while becoming faster. Brommell. Bolt.
....But you digress
Niekerk looks like he might be able to do it next year especially if he brings his 100m time down a bit more.

What designer drug are you talking about? Modafinil is not amphetamine based, and I really doubt that it would enhance athletic performance any more than caffeine. The only amphetamine analogues that are really available now are the fluoroamphetamines(like 2-fa, 4-fa, 2-fma, etc), and they definitely aren't any more effective than adderall or regular amphetamine, which I know will not be of any help to someone trying to break the 400m WR.
Do you have a name of this mysterious substituted amphetamine? Or at least a source it exists? Because I know pretty much all of the available research chemicals (designer drugs) and nootropics, and there is nothing that sounds even similar to what you are talking about. I'm not saying you are wrong unless you admit you don't know what it is nor have a source of any kind.
Sub 43 sounds tough, but I bet a lot of these 44 guys could be 43 guys with better pacing.
So since you KNOW research chemicals, can you name one? Nootropics is kind old, as you know so is Adderll and Modafinil. If I knew I would not say it on this board. But it does exsit. Its a blend of different CNS type. And if you know chemistry, you know its not difficult to create if you have a good base amphetamine/CNS pick any ADHD type mix it, and if they have been doing that since before 06, over 10 years to get it straight. I'm telling you some new drug hit around 04 05.

Nah just one freak away. Who knows when that will show up though. Seriously the records look like will last forever after 10-15 years but so far eventually some man (lets ignore those woman records) shows up who can break them.
Do you know any research chemicals? Because the three fluoroamphetamine I listed are RCs. If that's not enough: 3-fpm, hexen, 4-AcO-DMT, 5-MeO-MiPT, 3-meo-pcp, mebroqualone, etizolam, 5-MAPB, Deschloroketamine, U-47700, ... I could go on, but I think I've made my point by naming a couple of RCs in every different class of drugs. I'm very educated about the current RC scene, and decent enough with chemistry. I'll ask again, how do you know that it exists?
MJ ran a sub 43.00 4x4 split.
I do expect to see a sub 43.00 in an open 400m before we see any of Bolts WR's broke.
