I know. That first week is unwatchable.
At least Kiprop comes early the next week? I just hope he doesn't quit in the middle of the race.
For sure, the main event to watch is the final day.

That is partially true. On the west coast the Opening Ceremony comes on at 11pm ET. Screwed again!
Wouldn't it be 5pm pacific?

Not "en vivo"...so west coast gets a bigger delay before seeing it than the east coast does.

Thanks for the reminder.
I don't know what you mean by EOM. End of month? No, that wouldn't make sense in context. Early-onset menopause? Maybe in rojo's case, but he wasn't necessarily the one who posted.
The actual ceremony is at 7pm ET.
So, it is all on tape delay...lame

It's 1 hour delay for East coasters. On the West coast, it's delayed even more as expalined here:

I'm watching the BBC feed from the west coast. Does anyone have the BBC time? Hopefully, no tape delay and starts at 7pm ET.
I found this. The time zone is BST (British Standard Time), so 4 hours ahead of Brazil, 5 hours ahead of the East Coast, and 8 hours ahead of the West Coast.
20:30-22:00, Olympics 2016: Countdown to Rio, BBC One (repeated 22:10-23:40, BBC Red Button)
23:40-04:00, Olympics - Rio 2016 Opening Ceremony, BBC One & BBC Red Button

You guys going to put out a schedule of all T&F events and guide to how they can be watched?

Two good events to watch that will show a lot of the surroundings in Rio.
