ProPublica interview with Jack Robertson - WADA and IOC tried to kill Russian doping investigation and fallout

Yep, very interesting interview - read it earlier. Just reinforces the belief that the media are leading on the exposing of drug cheats, with WADA and the IOC reluctantly following.

Our worst fears are confirmed. WADA is a PR campaign for the IOC. Their job is to give the semblance of clean sport, while most top countries have a license to cheat. Just very sad.

As one who knows too much of this insider dealing let me tell you this. WADA chief Reedie and USADA head Tygart are on the take from one major shoe company that is always in the news. Why else was there such foot dragging on this? Who sponsors Russia's track team? Lets all remember the old rule: follow the money.

IOC head is another on the take and we all know about Seb Coe's cozy deal. The cover-up of doping in track and other Olympic sports is a story if every fully exposed will make Lance Armstrong look innocent and Ben Johnson look like he merely ingested some extenze. But key is of the media working on this what will come of it???

If you think that Tygart is on the take from Nike, that's laughable. Tygart took down Lance Armstrong - one of the heroes of Nike - and has opened an investigation into the NOP and has tested Galen Rupp more than any other US athletes.

Dick Pound went from WADA to the executive committee of the IOC.

Those guys don't forget their friends.

It would have been nicer if they asked him some direct questions. Like "What actual evidence for this so-called mouse-hole do you have", other than some stories from compromised people?
