Lets examine the middle guy: he gets 2,000 for third, 750 sign bonus perhaps a check for 100 per diem meal money Dinner, B,LD, Breakfast, a U.O. Dorm room (single or 2 per room?), a coach air ticket NY-Port and a free van ride to and from the airport.

All that less Fed &State Tax, an agents fee and some kind of club dues %.

Gross about a dollar or a dollar and a quarter per meter.

Are you kidding? They all made the OLYMPIC TRIALS 1500 meter final. Two of them are just one year out of college and rookie pro's. I'd say Gags did one HELLUVA job!

I'm betting that these guys made a good bonus from their shoe companies for hitting those sweet times. All Olympic standard times. I'm thinking the money they took home from the meet was just icing on top of the bonus bank they made.

Alexander won with a monster homestretch, outkicking a field full of kickers. Merber and Gregorek followed in 4th and 6th. Their times were all Olympic A standard times. Colby 3:34.88, Merber 3:35.83 and Gregorek 3:36.02.

It couldn't have been ideal flying to Europe right after the Trials, flying back to Jersey and then flying across the country back out to Eugene all in a span of less than 2 weeks but these guys obviously are on fire now. Keep the fire burnin'. GAGS has 'em rollin' !!!!

B level runners that will run b level races in Europe,olympians will get all the lanes,Colby has a future, others just are not good enough.

Looking at the contracts the Berian v Nike brought to light honors drive the structure not time

I think if time bonus are in contract they are for new PR under a certain time like a National champs or OG qualifying mark.

example: run sub 3:36 get bonus, next bonus when you go sub 3:34 not every time you run 3:36

these guys aren't in it for the money. it's all for the love of the competition and the times. There aren't a lot of American distance runners making more money than they would in typical post-collegiate jobs, especially finance.

Bravo to the Joisey Boys. They seem like a good bunch. No sticks up their arses. Hard workin butt busters. Just like Gags loves.
