I think most of us would assume that your high school is local.
Many people don't go to their local high school. Some go to boarding schools or private schools kind of far from home, or gifted programs/schools far from home. For instance my specialized public high school accepted students from ~30 districts, but "local" high schools typically accept students from their local district.
The regulars on this sit are the most jaded group of people I've ever encountered, on the internet or otherwise. How messed up are your lives that you believe that every single story must be a "troll" attempt?
Do you really think someone would spend time concocting all of those facts just to see whether he or she can get some responses, when the topic is as benign as his one? Trolling is designed to get people pissed off, riled up, and fighting with one another. This topic does none of the above and does not appear to be designed for that purpose. Maybe there are some exaggerations but this is no troll.
Bottom line: Many of the regulars around here could seriously benefit from getting high more often.
I would start leaving 420 paraphernalia all over the place. Subscribe to High Times magazine and others, start talking about the Intramural Ultimate Frisbee team at the colleges you apply, start a "glassware" collecting hobby, and so on. While doing all of this, don't let your grades drop and never fail a drug test. Your parents sound terrible and you should warm up that relationship with your Step-Dad who apparently is the only sane adult around you.

As a result, my dad yelled the most at me in disgust and anger and they took away my car, phone and I couldn't do anything for about 2 weeks. A little bit later, I started getting privileges back like I could go play basketball at a local park, have friends over, and go hang out with friends after work until 9 at the latest. Anyways, last week ago me and a buddy went and smoked weed in the woods before playing basketball and my dad seen my car at a local park and went into it and found a roach. He called me to the car and as a result, I'm grounded again. This time, he is talking to counselors, doctors, and therapists (who of course claim I'm killing myself) and my mom said there is talk I may go to a military school or boarding school and that I may not be able to live on campus next year! I'm not some troubled dumb bone headed kid, I'm just some goofy white suburban kid who enjoys getting high (pot is the only drug I have ever done and ever think about) when my work and school work is done. To be clear, I would never bring paraphemia or weed to school and this is about the only "real trouble" I have been in as a "kid" other than being a bit of a mischief as a middle child growing up here and there around the house. My dad is a high school teacher who claims weed will make me VERY dumb, I will/if not am some troubled kid that is on drugs, and very lazy (I also think he is afraid of the image but doesn't admit it). He doesn’t realize how harmless, common, and how “taking everything away†doesn’t usually solve the problem (although it will for me because I don’t want to be sent to military school). An ironic part of the story is my mom admitted to smoking a few times a year (which I don’t hold against her obviously) and my step-dad who is probably the most "sane" in the situation but doesn't hold much weight is an ex-grower. Any help is appreciated!
Edit- A week has gone by since I orginally typed this and my consquence is not being able to do anything for the next few weeks and I will be periodically drug tested for a long time and if I fail a test, my car (which I paid/pay for, sigh) will be sold (and that is how I get my landscaping done!).

As a parent of 3, I can tell you that his thought process is "Goddamn, if this kid is so stupid to get caught by me 2x, he is definitely going to be caught driving stupid with this shit in his car. In other words, it isn't the pot that's mostly bothering him, it's the careless and irresponsible behavior of putting yourself in a situation with much greater consequences.

Don't ever put anything dope-related in your car.
You get pulled over, you are franked for life.
Your parents are simply trying to be your parents. Just accept the punishment. In a year, you can do all the weed you want in college.That being said, please don't become a stoner loser.
