I recently have been running 80-90 miles a week and developed soreness in my achilles after a 19 mile long run.
I went to a trainer and he told me that I probably have a microtear in my achilles, to take 2 weeks off, with lots of icing and ibuprofen. Then ease back into running very slowly. (like 1-2 miles a day?!?!?!?)
I was wondering if anybody else had this problem and what they did to correct it?
PS: I really really hate taking time off!
