Always nice to see gingers do well
Always nice to see gingers do well
What was her college major?
She's obviously a loser. A real winner would have dropped to her knees, shouted "noooo!" and then limped to the finish like she had a broken ankle. Prior to taking it to social media to bitch and moan.
Seriously, though, massive respect. Great race, grace in defeat, and she'll fight harder another day. This is how pros are supposed to act.
She seems nice, and is good looking too, but she still lost, which means she went home DEVASTATED. End of story.

I know BMart gets a lot of love on here (and it's well deserved--she's talented, good looking, and seems like a great person all around), but the one who hasn't gotten hardly ANY press after her stellar trials is Amanda Eccleston.
I watched her post-race interview--5:13 mile in high school (and she graduated like what, 7 or 8 years ago?) to OT 4th placer? She made no excuses in the interview and was super classy about it when the rest of us on the boards were ready to lynch everybody over every little bit of in-race contact over the last 2 weeks. That was pretty refreshing.
Let's give her some love. Awesome running Amanda. You'll get 'em next time.
Actually, this MB is for complaining about everyone and accusing people of doping. take it somewhere else!
She was great in the interview. Maybe because she was not picked by anyone to make the team, by finishing fourth, Amanda exceeded her expectations, and also avoided becoming the super-villain of track by knocking out BMart.
I know for fact that one of the Brooks Beasts got a salaried contract last yr for $50,000 (actually, it was the girl who made Capriotti all pissy at Mackey for "stealing" her away from Nike). This girl has pretty much been injured the whole time, while making bank from Brooks. Meanwhile, Amanda Eccleston is on the Brooks ID program for shoes and gear and barely finishes 4th at the Olympic Trials-- is this all correct? Somebody help this girl out!

Where do I find this story about Capriotti, and the one with Linda Prefontaine?

It would be great to see her use her real voice.
