Does anyone know what's going on with LV? I know he isn't on the Tri team for Rio but it's hard to figure out much more than that. Lukas hasn't tweeted since February and I haven't seen any results.
He'll always be one of my favorite athletes but you have to wonder how different these trials would be if he'd never left Oregon.

Haha, don't know about Rex's heart, but mine already exploded from despondency over the playoff drought.
I was in the Springs when LV had his accident there. Huge bummer. I always wished he had stuck with track but you know it's his life, his decision. I know he had incredible talent. He was fun to watch. Always good to have that degree too -- especially these days.

Adidas is taking a huge gamble with a 10 yr contract . . . cuz as we've all seen the athlete could flame out. But I guess it's worth it to them, and maybe the contract has reduction clauses.
Verzbicas now lives in Davis, CA. he is still training but I don't know if he's competing

I don't see how he was an "age cheat" the dude graduated at 18. He was 18 when he won 3 national titles at NBIN and when he went Sub4 as well as when he took the 2 mile national record. Uhhh I think that's why he's considered a favorite for the OP.
I loved watching him run, but I also believe his mom had him doped heavily during his latter HS career.

Time to resurrect this thread. Haven't seen anything about him in over a year. Anyone know what's up?
I remember seeing him on the footlocker broadcast as part of new balances team. He is after all a two timer winner and a NB athlete but all I recall of him is thinking how big he looked. Maybe it was layers or the camera but he looked much more solid, definitely just strong not fat. Just an observation and it means next to nothing.
