He will be back. Just one race and yes he has had a long season.
Dude broke Jim Ryun's record, he is legit. I think it takes some time to get used to the rounds at highest level where room for mistakes is minimal.
if his contract is anything like the one they offered Boris, it's looking like major reductions are already happening!

Well, the wise man was an idiot, because DB definitely has run some good races since "many months ago."
College racing did him in, burnt out.

Or, he ran a single bad race. Gee, which could it be?
Since Harris just made the final, it's possible that NCAA racing wasn't the problem.
He's a millennial. What did you guys expect?
To those negative posters...
Donovan Brazier is 19 years old. A couple of weeks ago he raced and won the NCAA Championships 800 m in 1:43.55
We should celebrate his talent and look forward to his future. I can't wait to watch Donovan mature and become the greatest 800 m runner in US history.
People have good races, sometimes great races, and sometimes not so good races. That people... is part of being an athlete at the highest level.
How many of you negative sods have been an athlete at the highest level?
Most of the posters on this thread are pathetic. Seriously, what is wrong with you? This is a great, great young talent. He broke 1:46i his first time out in college. He broke Jim Ryun's 50 year old NCAA record by .8 second in his first NCAA final at 19 and remains the fastest American this year. He led most of this race and I do not know what happened but he is the real deal. Berian lost at USATF last year and he recovered just fine, to run 1:43.34, then World Indoor Gold, and now in the finals. Don't be surprised if Brazier throws down a 1:42 in Europe this year.
I just can't believe I read through 4 pages of posts and not a single one pointed out that the OP misspelled the poor kid's name. This board really is for intellectual outliers... and I don't mean in a positive sense.
it's actually Donavan, y'all wrote:

Because NO ONE cares!
Looks like he'll be another phenom in the long line of US phenoms who have no clue how to race championship-style races. Ultimately choking when he's not given a rabbit to hand hold him.
Maybe he'll be the Alan Webb version for the 800m. Lol.
RIP: D3 All-American Frank Csorba - who ran 13:56 in March - dead
RENATO can you talk about the preparation of Emile Cairess 2:06

Rest in Peace Adrian Lehmann - 2:11 Swiss marathoner. Dies of heart attack.
Hats off to my dad. He just ran a 1:42 Half Marathon and turns 75 in 2 months!
Great interview with Steve Cram - says Jakob has no chance of WRs this year
