I would put it this way: Wetmore is a magnificent coach for peaking and strategizing xc (remember, his women were no less astonishing), while Schumacher is brilliant overall in his recruiting and development of athletes- for xc AND track.

Alot of good comments. Wetmore should be a better coach at this point in his career (and he is) Schumacher, nevertheless is a very good coach and probably learned alot this year!!!
I am a HUGE Wisco fan;fact-of-the-matter is;;;;;;all but Bairu did NOT run to potential.Even at Big Tens,Tegencamp was too hyped.Wetmore--was lucky

Haha, OK, everyone who isn't a national champion didn't run to their potential. Have you ever seen a team with all 7 guys running to their potential on the same day? Colorado was close, but Harkrader still had a pretty shitty race for him. Wisconsin surely has the depth to dominate, but couldn't put it together when it COUNTED.
