Ill probably get a solid middle class inheritance ($2-$4 million) from my parents, which is low considering what most in my friends circle are getting.

You are what is wrong with this country. You are essentially a loser.
How old will you be?
If I'm fortunate enough to inherit any money, I suspect I'll be 65 or 70. I hope to be comfortably retired long before that.
I hope my wife's mother and my mother live for a long time and use up all their money.
I got zero from my parents. I will pass Zero of my $4 million on to my do nothing, millennial, kids. I even plan to take a $900k mortgage on my paid off house and spend that money as well. The kids can fight over the $300k home equity.
Luckily debt dies with the debtor in terms of kids otherwise I would inherit my parents million in debt. Luckily I have made my own living quite well and can make it well on my own without them. fkin boomers being lazy welfare recipients.
My parents and grandparents were a lot smarter than yours, they spent most of their money before they died.

Wow, your parents did it right. Fooked you over real good. They will leave with absolutely nothing. Payback is a beach.
Understand this is a troll but I'll go ahead and answer. I hope my parents spend all of their money. Not expecting anything from them and would probably just end up passing it off to someone else.
ONE MILLLLLLLLLION DOLLARS!!!

You sound like a royal a$shole
Weird how many of you don't expect to give or receive an ingeritance. Where I come from, it's sort of a given and seen by both parents and children as necessary to "make it." You all seem low class.

What class is rubbing their hands in anticipation of their parents deminse.
Demise
Upper middle
I would say anywhere from zero to $5 million. Parents are wealthy, mid 70's and healthy. I won't count on anything. A lot can change between now and their death. They could get senile and change their will, have a situation where they would need costly long term care. Another possibility is that they get swindled out of their money. This is something that the elderly are susceptible to. There is simply no guarantee.
Fortunately they raised me to not depend on them for financial support or to have any expectation of an inheritance.

Nursing homes, senior care and co-pays will eat up 90% of this. Most Americans will inherit nearly nothing from their parents.

It's not a matter of "depend on"
I make my own money and do just fine for myself, but my parents know that life and edication is increasingly more expensive and they want me and whatever kids I have to be comfortable. I will do the same for mone. LOL at doing anything less

If only they'd invested some of that money in your education then you might have been able to use an apostrophe.
