I am NOT referring to the physical attractiveness of the athletes or the skimpiness of their uniforms. I am referring to the quality and entertainment value of the competition itself.
I have three:
Tennis and Volleyball: for the same reason: the rallies last longer. I assume because the serves aren't as fast and there are fewer "winners", the longer rallies get pretty intense.
Soccer: mainly because women seem less likely to flop than men. Also, because the players are smaller, it seems like the game is more spread out and "flows" better. I could be imagining that second part, tho...
And yes, the Dutch Women's Field Hockey Team is still unbelievably beautiful. Still not the point of this thread :-)
