Taking splits from the video, I saw 31.1, 34.7 (65.8), 29.7, 30.56 (60.26) = 2:06.06.

This was 5/21 at Texas Meet of Champions. Won by more than two seconds.

Definitely not true. Most 800m, even winning championships and setting world records, are run with positive splits.

No they aren't.
She ran 206 last week at state and probably wanted to hang back because of Heymach (who is legit but still not 100%).
Miller is a Baylor signee, so I'm sure she was motivated down the stretch.
I wonder if she'll be able to go up to the 1500 in college or if she'll stick to 800 4x4. She can run 55 but I don't see her turning into a 52.
She used to run the 1600 consistently sub5. I have a feeling she will not run xc at Baylor.

She ran mid 54's open FAT this year (54.04 pr from 2014 summer), and has run xc but I doubt she has done the volume needed to see what she could do in the 15. Will be interesting to see what she does in the future.
I am guessing she could run sub 2:03 this season- and 800 experts might have a better guess than me given those unusual splits.
She is good for 2:03-low off good splits, maybe another second or so with pro comp.

The fastest 800 field ever was the 2012 London Olympic where basically the entire field went out in 49; Rhudisha came back in 51 and he ran the fastest 2nd lap. I say would say this young lady is probably capable of 2:04 if she just ran even splits.

So High School girls have a magically different physiology than pros? You should write it up for your PhD...in physioignorantology.Six seconds negative split for 800m is not an optimal or "fast" strategy anywhere in this galaxy.

Is there a link to the video the OP viewed? I'd like to know where 66 put her in the race at the bell. If she was in the top 2-3 because everyone started slowly then she should be given even more credit for winning the kicker's race.

There was a link but it got removed. It is easy to find. IDK if you need a subscription (I have one). But here it is:
She had the lead at 200 and then slowed down and held inside position until after 400. Heymach came along side her around 300m and took the lead by 400. Then Miller went outside to pass her after 400, accelerating sharply, quickly gained the lead and held it until the finish. (Um, I hope I remembered that correctly...).

I have coached little kids to pros and I have never made a difference in the basic philosophy is how to run the 800 and I think most coaches will say the same thing.
