It's totally legal.You may or may not get a response. Many famous people became successful in life because they had the courage to contact someone they admired.Coaches....I mean, real coaches, those that live and breathe running and care about the sport....will have no qualms about an email from a passionate younger runner.If you don't receive a response, do not be discouraged. Half the time emails are not even read due to the spam filter at my school.You have nothing to lose. Ignore the negativity.
