My advice is to stay very hydrated between now and race morning. Then, as the previous poster mentioned, start dumping a cup of water on your head starting with the first water station. It will help keep you a bit cooler.
And for what it's worth, I'll PR again this year by a few minutes with the given weather. Don't overthink it. And run your tangents.
Yeah, FindMyMarathon.com has the weather history for the last 14-15 Bostons on this link. Definitely going to be warmer at the start than usual. And warmest in the last decade other than 2012.

Was it really 76F at the start in 2012? I guess I'm glad I'm running it this year and not then.

Ya, it was 99 during the race in 2012 and last year had freezing rain, so this year won't be that bad.
2012 sucked.

Thanks 4 posting the last 9 plus min. of such an epic race. Yup I was there as well (tho' something like 3/4 hr. behind these 2) and it was also a lot hotter than the 60's.
The NE in the spring, you can always expect temperatures to raise significantly from the morning to noon. 60 for the race start and 70 for the end, is less than ideal, but certainty not horrible. Also, spring weather predictions 4 days out aren't that reliable.
Wah wah. Suck it up. Man up. grow a pair!

That's downtown next to the water. Newton is still forecast over 70 by noon
70 degree=21 celsius, sounds like perfect marathon conditions

You say you live in NE but don't realize that there are dramatic changes in weather? Troll.
Also its like 50 degrees in Boston today. So 60-70 degrees is not a dramatic change.
The dew point is supposed to be in the upper 30s; if that does not change the relative humidity will be about 30% when it hits 70. For those starting at 9:30 and running quickly it should not matter all that much.
Also, the temperature peak is very narrow, with the temps dropping and rain coming in 5pm might be 50 degrees with light rain beginning (but strong winds out of the east!). If that happens sooner then people are going to start getting cold running in to a strong, wet wind.
