Yeah, very powerfully built wasn't she?
Bizarre last heat, let's see how slowly we can go and all get knocked out.
Good - might bring her (Sharp) down a level. Burundi athlete should have been in the mens 800s no?
Greek triple jumper - yes!

It's a travesty and a shame for Sharp. And more travesty and shame coming up in the 800m final, very likely. Niyonsaba and Wambui are both guys. As was Mupopo in the 400m.
This has come up before with two of those athletes. I believe that women are entitled to compete against women. The 800m has been a travesty and a sham and a mockery, a travestyshamockery, between the Eastern European doping and the African gender-benders or outright cheaters. I don't think that naming names is good for the individuals involved, but the IAAF has got to decide whether it wants women only to be in women's races.

Look for the masters thread elsewhere on the board.
How is nobody talking about the Heptathlon? Beach has a shot at a 1-2 USA sweep if he throws down in the 1k, and y'all are stuck jawing back and forth about the manliness of the W800? Let's swing this back to a positive/productive discussion.
