The number of european and african athletes taking this "supplement" as it was used for years is far more than is known or busted as of the January 2016 ban list.
X-country skiing athletes as well as cycling athletes pop this like candy. Meldonium was seen as another supplement as a vitamin and replacement drink.It was not banned plain and simple. If you talked with athletes using it no one would say, yea I feel different or faster, stronger etc.Its just another supplement I hope gives me the little extra and not an advantage my competitors have because they take it.
Its now on everybody's radar list and will disappear. What we need to look at what else is being used that is borderline to being banned once its tested out.
Why cannot we get an pharmaceutical expert , doctor , trainer or informed athlete to say, these are supplements we are using or being offered up, lets look closer at them.
Wont happen, no one wants to give up the edge ...
