Seriously, everytime I'm there I can't buy anything without being asked about coupons or if I want a coupon for a discount on something I'll never buy.
What is with this?

Forgive us for allowing you the opportunity to save some money.
Well I know it seems like a good cause but it's just annoying and mostly just pointless.
It just encourages more spending and it's not really a benefit at all.
I don't think we're obsessed with coupons... No one I know talks about them. no one I know goes around clipping coupons.
So I'd say, no, we're not obsessed with coupons.
because things cost a lot in America, especially since our economy is stagnant and wages haven't risen in 30 years.
What is this, 1990? Are you really being bombarded with offers for coupons in 2016?

Did you miss the coupon bubble of a couple of years ago? Ever hear of groupon?
I find coupons annoying, but many cheap people (lots of runners are notoriously cheap) are obsessed with this stuff.
Of course, I'm a little guilty myself because there are a couple of clothing places I won't buy from unless I get an promo code for a decent discount (which they seem to send out every month without fail).
Haha, I got a huge ad for zoo coupons at the top of my screen.
Why can't the prices just be lower for everybody, instead of just the people that took the time to cut out the coupon?

Because the manufacturer knows there are at least two kinds of customers.
-A customer that will buy regularly at a non-promotional price.
-A new customer that needs an incentive to try the product.
Overall though, coupons don't work. You end up selling product to people who only value your product on price. Those are the most disloyal customers.
Because I get a free cup of coffee when I buy the local paper and show them their store coupon from a earlier paper.

Its funny because with or without a coupon Americans are getting ripped off on nearly every purchase. From a cup of coffee, to a pint of beer, to a dishwasher, we are used to over paying on everything.
A coupon only eases the pain a bit, so they all jump on it.

This is what the losers in our society say.
