How fast will Drew Hunter run?
Who will win the Wanamaker miles?
It should be a great day at the sold-out Armory.

Good thing I read your review. They moved the schedule up 2 hours without even bothering to email folks who bought tickets already. Jeez.

Hunter's field looked pretty full (14 runners?) AND many with very similar p.r.'s. Congestion could be a factor. Looks like a potential 4 way blanket finish in the women's 800 and I think the Men's mile goes to the guy who wants it more as I perceive them both to be near 3:51 shape. Men's 3K could see any of 5 or 6 guys taking it. And hard to see anyone besting Huddle but there are 2 girls in this race who did just that last summer in Beijing.

That Youth Boys 800m winner was really damn impressive!!
-
is it gonna be televised?

Bump

It's supposed to be streaming right now on USATF.tv, right? All I get is a black screen.

I had to open three screens before it would work. I clicked on "watch here" next to the USATf.tv schedule and I finally got the feed.

LOL
You're aware that the Armory fits maybe 500 people.
This event used to be in The Garden.
Not anymore.
No one gives a sh|t.
Selling out the armory is nothing to brag about. -

I"m glad I read it as well (I didn't write it). I've been in NYC for two days and only last night did I learn that the men's 3000 may be the race I'm most into. Is Cheserek truly world class? We'll find out.
A few notes. I think the potential for a very fast mile time is definitely on the cards as Kyle Merber is the rabbit. When Merber ran that ridiculous time at Swarthmore, it was because the rabbitting by Nick Willis was perfect. With Merber as the rabbit hopefully going 1200, they've got a shot.
In the women's 5000, I'd say I'll be VERY surprised if the AR falls as Gelete Burka isn't racing. She raced Dibaba the other night in the 3000 and isn't racing here. -
any links to watch online?
-
The usatf feed keeps stopping and is totally worthless.
-
the USATF feed is working for me. it switches over to NBC in 30 minutes. Hunter just started the mile
1st quarter in 57.2 -
doesn't everyone agree that Merber's 3:35 at Swarthmore isn't legit because the track is short or something?

Until 4p m ET, the meet is on USATF.tv.
After the 800, I caught up with Duane Solomon who won the 800. He said he's done with inddoors for the year. Initially, he said he thought about doing USA and World Indoors but just wants to focus on Rio.
https://youtu.be/TRGUAj7Awvs
Penn State's Brannon Kidder almost beat Solomon. They were side by side for the final 100.
Gondak thought Kidder shouldn't have tried to pass on the turn and waited but thought overall it was a great race for Kidder. They came here as Gondak wanted him to practice racing. Most collegiate races these days are just focused on times and he thoguht it was great that Kidder got bumped around and could focus on competing. He thought it was good that Kidder lost as it will "make him hungry.
Kidder said he's going to do the 800 at NCAAs.
We filmed our interview with Kidder as well but won't have time to put it up until later. -

He looked like he was really uncomfortable with two do go but he still closed in 57 flat. Hope this hard racing 3 weeks of the last 4 doesn't take anything out of him.
Also, why can't he wear his HS jersey? -
The feed worked fine on a faster computer.
Good run by Hunter, hanging in there in fourth.
Now women's 5000 at 4:28.
