can't wait for Rio!
This girl is going to destroy the field
kom op dafne!
I count it as a tie for 9th, but ahead of her are numerous dopers, Privalova with 6.92 wr, Ekaterina Thanou of Greece, Marion Jones (6.95).
Note that the Polish junior just ran an incredible 7.07.
Go ask the Norwegians about those "clean" Dutch speedskaters from Sochi. Not every sprinter is dirty, but this one is pretty obvious. Nobody knows what they're using, but it clearly works.
But she is just so talented s he's up there with the greatest dopers in history. Schippers is a great talent there's no doubt let's be honest here, she's competing on the same terms as the athletes she is emulating. Great performance regardless.

Well kettle, you and your buddy jjjj have accomplished one great thing in your lives. Cynicism. Good luck

So you´re saying that it´s impossible to be clean and beat doped athletes? I´m going to start doping and run the 10k in 32 minutes. Anyone who then runs faster than me is clearly on drugs.

I'm rather curious as to how you've apparently had so many teachers throughout the years fail to impress upon you the very basics of logic and understanding. How is it that you have managed to mash keys together on a keyboard in an order resembling sentence structure, but yet remain so deficient both in comprehension and in reason?
Truly astounding.
Anyone who runs faster than systematic and convicted dopers might also be a doper. In other words, red flag, but no certainty.
Schippers has been an very rare and talented athlete and esspecially sprinter throughout her carreer. To accuse her from being doped one should present a little more than just disliking the nationality or skin color.
Schippers has a lot going for her.
1. She Always has been incredibly fast, even when she trained exclusively as an heptathlete. Her progression can easily be explained by her age and exclusive focussing on sprint and esspecially her start
2. She beat allyson felix already in 2011 when she was just 19 years old as a full time heptathelete.
3. She does do all the dope controle and there never has been any irregularities there.
4. Her coach nor his pupils have been linked to dope in any way
5. She runs a lot of races, and each time she has a dope control.
6. Her inherited her tall and strong build from her parents. Unfortunately also the acne (her mother and sister suffered from the same far in the 20-ties) as well. And the Jaw.... you could see that on a very young age, or do you want to tell that she was doped since the age of 9?
While I hear only the very weak arguments against her.
1. She is far too muscular (while she is far under 70kg and 179m tall). Perhaps consider that the muscles are more visible than her darked skinned competitors.
2. She runs too fast (meaning faster than my favourate).
3. Refer to dutch speed skaters in sochi while none of them have been catched on doping as well.
I sounds like some people have emotional problems in accepting schippers' achievements, rather than there is any evidence of cheating. In that light she stands on even grounds or even better than her competitors. So please can we leave those comments behind until there is something more substancial than this?
I shouldn't be posting now, but this is the biggest pile of shiit since people defending Lance Armstrong in 2004. Points, 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, and 6 are all the same points used by The Man himself, and they turned out to be toxic.
What do you want to bring up first, WM, the fact the Leinders is went so far as a teflon doping doctor, as effective as Ferrari? The irresponsible management of samples in Sochi (regarding the success of dutch speed skaters)? The knowledge that samples wouldn't be tested in Sochi? The fact that performances are a red flag for doping and its dumb to ignore that fact? (Seriously, with the knowledge we have of preferential treatment to top performers, and the availability of protection from doping controls and against positive doping controls, not to mention all of the testimony about how easy it is to beat those controls that do take place, that someone performing as she does is clean?)
WM, I put it on you to show that her training and genetic abilities can match that of two of the most doped athletes in the sport's history. Explain how she can train part-time for sprinting (incorporating other events as a heptathlete) and match the career dopers of Marion Jones and Griffith-Joyner. Explain how she can beat suspected dopers like the Americans and Jamaicans and be the sole clean athlete in the Final. Explain how she is different from the overwhelming trend we have seen in sprinting, that the key to success is to dope, exemplified by Marion Jones, SFP, Jeter, Cox, and Simpson.
Explain how Schippers is a separate entity from the two generations of sprinters before her.
Her 10.81 in Beijing into a slight headwind was astounding. If she had the maximum legal tailwind she would have run 10.68 and moved up to 4th all time.
Don't be surprised to see Dafne run 10.6x this year.
I will destroy you.....
Zij is een beetje groot voor de 60m. Cooman was piepklein.
Sub 21.50 voor de 200m in Rio!!!!
Clerck, I take it you have substancial problems in accepting schippers performance alone. I would call that a sign off a poor loser. Armstrong was innocent until proven otherwise. No-one, me nor you can prove whether schippers is doped or clean, therefore innocent until proven guilty applies here. Note the same applies to Elaine Thompson made a much more stunning progression in 2015 than schippers did.
As for dutch speed skaters, again no single thread of evidence. What we know is that no other country takes speedskating as seriously as the dutch. They have the best facilities the best coaches, the most money and have developped the best material and techniques. I can cry about johan olav koss who won the 5 and 10km olympics in 1992 and another norwegian silver with an unexplained performance (tel that the norwegians), but without any evidence they are innocent until proven guilty.
As for the dope controls. She did not miss one dope control and she has stated that its being checked whether the urine is leave her blatter. To me it seems, that unless she is on something undetectable, she is clean.
To compare her with Lance Armstrong is very childish as the way to cheat in those two sports are very VERY different. Lance mainly trained for the Tour de France. Schippers season is much longer with a lot more races and dope controls. Lance was able to cheat because of the whole (medical) team was involved (which is very unlikely in the case of Schippers). Long distance cycling is all about recovery, running is about having the power muscles and technique.
As for the explanation of her performances.
1. GENETICS (lenght),GENETICS (muscles), GENETICS (mindset),GENETICS (stiff back).
2. Check out the IAAF website (progression tab)
http://www.iaaf.org/athletes/netherlands/dafne-schippers-250353
There is nothing suspicious about her progression. Her performance is recorded since 2009 when she was 17. Now unless she was doped since the age of 17 , which I find given the dutch ill tradition of sprinting highly unlikely, there are no unexplained jumps in her season bests. The jump she made in 2015 has all to do with improvements on here start and focussing on sprints rather than heptathlon. If she would have trained as a pure sprinter from the beginning she would have had a better start already in 2009.
Now, if a polish teenager (clean I hope) can run 7.07, why can't a 23 year old not run 7.00 ?
And there are other reasons which you comfortably do not mention as well. Men have already catced up with times ran when widespread institutional doping was in place. So why can't women ? Tracks have become much faster than 20 - 30 years ago, and you would expect that training methods and materials have developped as well.
And most importantly, at the end of instituational doping sprinting lost popularity world wide and in europe esspecially. A lot of knowledge has been lost there. It remained popular in the carribean and the US, but there was little interest in that from the rest of the world. Its the same reason why the dutch are so good a speedskating: The rest of the world is not interested in speedskating. Sure you have the occasional american (e.g. shauni Davis), japanese, italian or canadian but on the average most medals go to the Dutch.
It left the world with some false assumptions about sprinting: You have to be black and short to be the world champion. Usain bolt has proven the world wrong about the first, Dafne schippers has proven the world wrong on the second.
Perhaps you can explain me why jamaicans and US runners have dominated the sprints. Black genes? Perhaps, but what is so special about jamaica?
Now unless you've got something substancial to prove beyond "she is running faster than my favourate" childish reasoning, can we give Schippers the credits?
PS, what are you doing here on a forum where every exceptional performance is dimissed as "doped". What is the fun of that ?
5"10 and 145 pounds If you add on 5 pounds of boobs you have a perfect figure
Nelli was 5'3" and 135 - short but not anywhere near waif like or petite.
Ask the norwegians about Johan Alov Koss. Why was he suddenly so fast and his compatriot as well, while it was just one peak in that olympic year. Again innocent until proven otherwise.

This is a ridiculous explanation since the Tour de France never lost popularity even when 90% of the riders were juiced to the gills. In France at least the ratings have always been sky high and former well known dopers are now wealthy sport commentators.
And as far as I know Track & Field has yet to host its World championships on US soil, so speak about popularity...
Isthat a serious argument ? wrote:

I said: "INSTITUTIONAL DOPING" referring to russian and east german practises where doping was an integral part of sports up to the governmental level. Doping in the Tour was not on that level.
Essentailly, whenever those east german sporters (mainly track & field, but also speed skating) turned up the rest did not have a chance. When institutional doping ended there was little left to build up from. The coaches had been exiled or put to jail and many sporters had lost interest in those sports long before that because the competition was not playing by the rules.
Doping in the Tour the France has been either individual, but more often team based. So not institutional thus based upon nationality.
