Not for long...
Rooney is on $450,000. Per week. Tough life hey!
Meanwhile, ticket prices go up, pricing out the working class supporter.
I had a friend come over from NY just after Xmas, we hoped to get tickets for the West Ham v Southampton game. He managed to get 4 tickets for him and his sons, however they were not seated together. The tickets cost 128GBP each with a 42GBP booking fee.
So for one game it cost him something like 700 dollars.
Ticketing companies appear to buy up all the tickets from source. I don't know for sure whether they are marking up the prices but the above scenario is bordering on the criminal.

So players sign a contract, but then teams can transfer them to another team if that other team pays money? For some reason, I always feel like when we hear about players and how much they're paid, they always mention transfer fee rather than their salary. And then when they do mention their salary it's per week, which as an American sounds strange because we usually talk about it as per year. So per week and then you x 52?
Leicester fan bets them to win the league at the start of the season 5000-1 odds!
Interesting result the past couple of days. Leicester City had a draw and I was sure that the other teams would take advantage, but they all lost.
Yep the Leicester dream still lives on. My friend had her first ever bet on Leicester when they were 20/1 before Christmas. She put £50 which is a fair bit for a first ever bet but she stands to win £1000.
