You're getting your panties in an uproar because two women in Germany got raped on New Year's. You're exactly the kind that opposes justice for rape victims in the United States where 500 a day are raped.

This site really is the home of the racists. Think about your own numbers. Even if it is true, which I doubt, that North African Muslim immigrants were 23 times more likely to commit rape, how could they, as a tiny minority of the population, account for a THOUSAND-FOLD increase in rape????Use your brain. Obviously, there was no such 1000x increase.
I checked out Sweden's statistics on rape. Your #'s are wrong. The 1980s stats indicated much higher rates of rape among immigrants, but not 23x for any of the countries listed, and Romania was among the countries of origin with the highest rates in Sweden. The foreign born stat in recent years was about 5.5x that of native born Swedes. The reporting stats in Sweden are very different from other places--for instance, if a husband was said to have raped his wife once a day for 300 days, that would be reported as 300 rapes. Moreover, their definition of rape is broader than other countries. The upshot is that there is no evidence either that immigrants caused a spike in rape of anywhere near the level you stated or that the rate has increased over the past ten years, when immigrants increased substantially.

An apparently also the home of liberal moron apologists for Muslim rapists.
No one is apologizing for any rapists. I am simply puncturing the utter hysterics of the racists here who are magnifying a minuscule problem, not a drop in the bucket of an immense issue of rape and murder, into something on the World historical scale.

Roughly 2/3 are suicides, many of which would be prevented by stricter gun control, because use of guns as a suicide method is nearly foolproof (90% success rate), whereas other methods tend to have a very low success rate and very frequently, contra popular belief, people who fail in suicide attempts eventually die of other causes (that is, they do not ever successfully commit suicide). And if you have a gun in the household, you have something like a 9-10x greater chance of dying from a gun.

Seriously?
If someone actually wants to succeed at suicide (rather than some dramatic cry for help; i.e. pill overdose) they're gonna do it. Who are you to dictate how they do so? Paternalism much?
What's happening is on the World historical scale. It's Europe crumbling again. You can wave your paper with "Peace in our time" while you deny the facts about rape and violence from Muslim immigrants (the facts that Sweden stopped publishing years ago). Meanwhile the resistance among a few brave men in Europe increases. It will be a spectacular civil war between failed liberal societies and a failed religious community. Let them have at each other.
1500 times more rapes in Sweden compared to 40 years ago:
To be honest, I don't feel sorry for liberal Swedes.

The jjjjjjerk has made racist statements on this board.

Did you not read what I said? This isn't about paternalism, although paternalism is entirely justified with children and teenagers. People succeed in killing themselves only at very low rates with pills and the like.
Nonsense.

Ummm...reading comprehension problems?
Those muslim rapefugees are at it again. Deport these scum, you German PC pussies.
It's interesting to read all of the comments under that article and see the number of "thumbs up" versus "thumbs down" for them.
Looks like jjjj is definitely amongst a very small minority in his views, yet the political and media elite continue to pursue their agenda of bringing in as many third world Muslim immigrants as possible, to push down wages. The conspiracy theorists will claim that the elites are purposefully bringing chaos to their countries so that there can be a huge clampdown on all civil liberties and we can all go back to living like serfs. I'm not sure that I'm ready to accept that theory yet, but people like Merkel and Hillary Clinton certainly make you wonder.
This is no longer a liberal versus conservative debate. Any liberal with a shred of common sense has joined in the fight against bringing in more of these immigrants. All that is left is a small minority of shrill progressives who will try and shame anyone from saying what they really think in person by crying racism.

Well, as the vast majority of liberals hasn't joined in that fight, we can surely agree that common sense is not very widespread in that group.
Look: no one with any sense would recommend introducing 1 million refugees into a country the size of Germany all at once with vastly disparate cultural backgrounds and zero transition. Such a program will necessarily bring some problems.

Go and take a look at the "thumbs up" versus "thumbs down" counts in the comments section of the article. Some of the posts there would be called racist, even on Letsrun, yet have over 100 likes and 0 dislikes.
Yes, I realize that conservatives are more likely to click on and read that article than liberals, but... even so. I am an ex-liberal myself and the whole refugee mess has cemented my move to the right. I have talked to many people in person who are not hard-line conservatives, but do not support bringing in the refugees.
It's the media that's painting a different picture. Most of the large media corporations are extremely pro-immigration. They are largely owned by rich individuals and/or corporations and they want to bring as much cheap labor into the country as possible. If violence erupts, they'll be safe in their gated communities, with their hired body-guards.

Why are liberals hellbent on making life more difficult? At every step they are doing something to make living in the West more difficult.
Yeah basically America indirectly created ISIS when they went in the middle east in search of WMDs. You guys destabilized the system and its America's fault. Bush and Republicans! If you think guns is the answer you guys are idiots.

Wonderful.
Don't let Muslims into Europe in large, desperate, high-male ratio numbers.

It's America's fault that Europeans don't protect their borders and offer loads of social assistance to migrants who cross the border without invitation?
It seems to me that the "refugees" avoided some European countries while making a bee-line for others. Gee, I wonder why?
