The question was: "What does being white have to do with disagreeing with her".
There are plenty of non white American kids who run middle distance track events and would find breaking 4 minutes in the mile a challenging task. So the comment of the person who replied about east Africans was irrelevant. Nothing about being white is relevant to disagreeing with her.
Further, I'm not sure what "East Africans should switch to the mile" even means. The NCAA is an association. East Africans are people from east Africa.
