May not be a direct answer to your question, but I had two tickets to the 1999 AFC Championship game between the Denver Broncos and New York Jets. It was going to be John Elway's last game at Mile High Stadium. I was offered $1,000 for both tickets. I thought about it, but turned him down. And going to that game was well worth it, being a huge Broncos fan and all.
I paid $115 for lower level seats at Madison Square Garden to see Michael Jordan score 39 points there. It was well worth the money.
On the flip side, I was offered $300 for two tickets to the Wisconsin-Ohio State football game in 2003 and didn't even think about selling them.
Super Bowl - $400 for the Colts or $200 for any other team.

I like that guy who sneaks into the Super Bowl Every Year and no one catches him. I have been to two Super Bowls in New Orleans with my sisters vendor pass.
