I retired from running at the ripe age of 20 years old. I ran at college, wanted to experience life as a real college student aka having fun, not waking up sore all the time, time to do work, and not having to spend 10 hours on a bus every weekend. I felt as though i accomplished all i needed to in the sport, running a 3:54 1500, 1:55 800, and being a conference champ at the d3 level. I have some love for running, but seriously their is no pride from outsiders looking in on the sport, At my school we had a b-ball team that was horrible that got more props then our conference champion xc squad. Hopefully i will pick up the sport again after i graduate, but i enjoy being a real college student. Are their any regretfull or success retirement stories out their?
