I never understand these arguments -- alcohol and cars don't exist for the sole purpose or harming or killing something. That's the reason for guns.
Do you guys really not get that? Liberals don't want to ban airplanes just because 9/11 happened. But they do want to keep weapons out of the hands of people who aren't fit to have them (the mentally ill). Why are background checks wrong again?
The same people who praised Bush for his response to 9/11 and were willing to do anything necessary to prevent another attack don't seem to make the same connection with guns at home... which, in mass shootings, or the church shooting in Charleston, are a form of domestic terrorism.
What don't I get? Not being sarcastic, I'd actually appreciate a reasoned conservative reply.
